Group Social Media Executive (Marketing)
Location: Godalming
Role summary
Develop and implement a social media strategy that supports the execution of client campaigns on social media channels. This role includes the following duties:
- Strategy - Develop and implement an annual social media strategy.
- Create ads - Create “paid for” social media posts and adverts and promote posts in line with the social media and business strategies.
- Budget: Manage the social media elements of the group marketing budget and work with budget holders to plan and monitor marketing spend throughout the year.
- Publish and promote relevant content: work with the Marketing Team to develop and publish content in line with the social media and wider business strategy and to support this with additional interesting and relevant social posts.
- Reporting: Report on reach, impressions, clicks interactions, quotes, sales etc. of posts and evaluate learnings from activity generated each month.
- Competitor Research: Conduct regular monitoring of the competitive landscape.
- Content calendar: Define and maintain content calendars for the trading brands, working with key business users and the Marketing Team to understand the target audience(s).
- Responding to social media comments and posts: monitoring the social media pages and responding to comments when necessary.
- Support the wider business with social media expertise: advise teams on best practice, change in systems and provide advice and workshops on individual social media management.
Training
On-the-job training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to keep insurance knowledge up-to-date.
Qualifications
- Good written and communication skills and knowledge of the digital media landscapes. A marketing or communications qualification such as English, media studies, and business studies would be advantageous.
- Previous experience of using Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Working knowledge of using social media as a paid channel for customer acquisition and brand awareness.
